All Students Begin Here:
If you do not already have a copy of the log to use to help you keep track of your activities this week, you can find it HERE (Excel version). If you do not have Microsoft Office, click HERE for the PDF file instead. Use the log to record the activities you complete for school through the rest of the week to help you know what you need to do. (These are the same logs that were emailed to families over the weekend.)
Follow the schedule below for your grade level each day.

Skype Check-In
- Check in each morning with your homeroom teacher on Skype when you begin.
MATH
- Math- Spend at least 25 minutes each morning completing math activities.
- Visit Khan Academy - ALL GRADES - Scroll through the webpage to find your grade level. Use this at least twice this week.
- Visit Flash Card Practice - K-8 and any others who need to work on learning the basic math facts - You may also practice with flashcards at home with a parent.
- Click HERE to visit Math is Fun and choose Skip Counting from the list. There are addition math activities and math subjects to chose from for practice too. Please use this site for math time at least once during the week. It would also be great to also practice skip counting aloud with a parent. Count aloud by: 2s to 20, 3s to 30, 4s to 40, etc., to 10s to 100. High School students may choose an appropriate level/skill such as Algebra or Geometry instead.

- Click HERE to visit FUNBRAIN MATH ZONE. Choose some activities to complete like Math Baseball or Measure It. There are several to chose from so you can do a new one each day!
- MATH FOR 6th-12th Level - These would be great to bookmark for use during the year!

READING / LA / ENGLISH
- Reading - Read at least 30 minutes each day. You may read online books or library books.

- Click HERE for LA one day this week. Please watch the at least the first 25 minutes of the video. After that part, the author will show how to draw some of his characters, and he will share the

- Click HERE to visit Storyline Online. "Storyline Online streams videos featuring actors reading children's books alongside creatively produced illustrations." This site is designed mainly for students in Ktg-4th. There are many choices of books to listen to. Anyone may give it a try!

- Maps - ALL Grades - Practice at least 25 minutes each morning. Objectives: Review the states and where they are located on the map, and learn the capitals.
- USA Jigsaw - Click HERE (Tutorial Practice if needed), HERE (Level 1) or HERE (Level 2) to practice naming and locating the states.
- Click HERE (Tutorial Practice), HERE (Level 1), or HERE (Level 2) to work on learning the states and their capitals after mastering locating the states on the U.S. map.
- Click HERE to visit Name that State.
KEYBOARD PRACTICE
- Keyboarding - Click HERE to visit Typing.com. Practice each day for at least 10 minutes. Be sure to use the correct finger placement as shown in the lessons. Record this on your log.

- Science - 3rd-8th - Spend at least 20 minutes. Click HERE to visit the Science Kids Science Videos page to choose topics and activities that interest you. Click HERE to view the fireworks video if you did not do that last time. It is pretty cool! Click HERE to visit Crash Course Kids. There are several videos there to choose from too.
- Spelling - 3rd-8th - Complete at least one activity/game each day you visit. Click HERE to visit Spelling City, and choose a spelling game to complete. Click HERE to visit Spelling City Test Me, and choose your grade level. Spelling City Test Me includes levels through high school.
- Handwriting - 3rd-8th - Click the links below for cursive handwriting sheets to use for practice. Complete at least one sheet each time.
P.E. TIME
- P.E. - Spend on 1 hour on planned physical activities each day.
- Check out the BRAIN BREAKS tab under the Calendar page for things to do when you cannot go outside. Click HERE to visit.

- Click HERE to visit Khan Academy Math. Scroll down the page to find the subject you are working in this school year. Spend time each day reviewing videos in that area of study. If you had difficulty with any concepts this past semester, look for those specific areas to review.

- Reading- Spend 30 to 45 minutes reading library or online books each day -

- Additional English/Reading Activities: Take the time to review some of the links below. You may bookmark them to use next semester as you complete writing projects.
SOCIAL STUDIES / HISTORY

Continue to test yourself through the week until you can correctly name them all. Practice each day. If you need to review the state locations first, use the links in the section above to test yourself.

It is helpful to share documents that won't load in OW through Google Drive instead of Skype or email. This is also a way to share video files that you record for assigned projects when they are too big to share on Skype or with an email.
