Physical Education Log Information
Click HERE to download and print a copy of the school P.E. log. Print it at the beginning of the school year to record times and activities each day during the semester. For those families who rent school laptops, you should find a copy of the log placed in the laptop case for you to use instead. Be sure to review the planned exercise activity section below.
Keep track of your student's physical education time on the log. Record your child's minutes each school day and the total hours for each week in the appropriate areas on the log. At the end of the semester, figure the total hours for the semester and include that information on the form. A clear scan or picture of the log should be submitted to Mrs. Wilt through email at the end of each semester. Please check the Calendar page for specific dates. Please use the same log for the entire school year so at the end of the year all times are recorded on one log.
Time Requirements:
Kindergarten through 8th Students -
Complete a minimum one hour of physical activity each school day or five hours each week. Time spent on the weekend may count toward the five hour total if needed.

Keyboarding
Students in 3rd through 8th grade are encouraged to complete regular practice each week on keyboarding activities and games. A ten to fifteen minute session each day should be completed by each student. Set a routine so this activity is included in your student's schedule. A log does not need to be submitted, but we do ask parents to set this into their student's routine. High school students who do not already know how to use home row and or who still look at their hands to type are encouraged to practice each day too. Students should begin with the first lesson and work on keyboarding skills throughout the school year. Click HERE to get started with Typing Club. Follow the lessons in order each day.
Keyboarding practice helps develop needed skills. Remember the goal is to learn to place hands on the keyboard and use the correct fingers for each key, learning to look at the screen instead of the keyboard when typing.
