There are practice activities in the following areas: English/LA, Math, History, Science, Spelling, Keyboarding, Physical Education, and Handwriting. Complete activities from each area each day.
The supplies you need to ready for Wednesday and Thursday's Zoom meetings with Mr. Dick are also listed below.

English/Language Arts-
Daily English/LA Lessons- Complete One Activity Each Day
3rd-12th - Click HERE to visit Khan Academy English/Language Arts. Choose your grade level. The high school level is marked as 9th.
*Spend 15 minutes each time you visit. Continue through the online English/LA lessons. The next time, just begin where you left off the last time.
3rd-8th - Click HERE to view the Language Arts Review video.
*Spend about 10 minutes of viewing time each visit. (There are ads that pop up throughout the video. Skip those as soon as it allows so you can continue with the lessons.)
Daily Reading Time- Read Each Day
3rd-12th - *Spend 30 minutes reading or listening to books each day. Library books or online books are good for reading time. Students in 3rd and 4th graders might want to use the links listed below. *Older students should choose a book they can read throughout the week. Visits to the library are encouraged.
3rd-4th - "Storyline Online streams videos featuring actors reading children's books alongside creatively produced illustrations." The site is designed for younger students through 4th grade (but others might enjoy it too). The site has many different books to listen to. Students in 3rd and 4th may want to use some of the stories below for part of their reading time.

Keyboarding-

Visit Typing Club to get started.
*Practice 10 to 15 minutes each day. Practice using proper hand placement on the keyboard. Work to improve your keyboarding skills. You might find it helpful to begin with the pretest. After you click the get started button, you will see the pretest option pop up. You may choose to begin there if you would like. Remember to practice typing without looking at your hands to help you learn to use the keyboard

Click HERE for a cursive handwriting sheet to download to your laptop or print for reference. Keep a copy in view to help you when writing on paper. Click HERE to download writing paper to print. Make extra copies of the lined handwriting paper to use for practicing if you would like.
