Daily Reading Time-
Spend a minimum of 30 minutes each school day reading. Students should use library books or online books. Younger students who have an account in our HVA Online Epic Library may use that website too.

Click HERE to visit Storyline Online. "Storyline Online streams videos featuring actors reading children's books alongside creatively produced illustrations." This site is designed for younger students where there are many choices of books to listen to.

Khan Academy- All Grade Levels
Click HERE to visit Khan Academy. Choose your current grade level and begin with the first lesson in that section. Each time you practice, continue where you left off the time before. It is good to spend at least 20 minutes of practice time on each visit. Use Khan Academy to review this week and anytime throughout the school year!

Math Facts Practice-
K-8 students should regularly spend time practicing math facts. Use the websites listed below.

1. Practice with Flash Card Math. Click HERE to visit the website and get started. Older students may use this to see how well they know their math facts too.

2. Click HERE to play Harvest This, an interactive math game to practice math facts.

Extra Math Practice-
Elementary Math with Mr. J is another good resource to use for review. Click HERE to visit. There are different math topics to choose from. Use this channel to keep your math skills sharp!




History-

Visit the following sites to view science videos and ideas for experiments. You may want to try some at home with parental approval. Just click on a title to visit the website.

Practice: Visit Spelling City and choose a spelling game.
Testing: Visit Spelling City Test Me. Choose your grade level. Spelling City Test Me includes levels through high school.


Keyboarding Practice-
Visit Typing Club to get started. Practice at least 10 minutes each school day.


Physical Education- Every Day
Complete one hour of physical activity each school day.

Be prepared by having your supplies ready ahead of time. You will need a plain white piece of paper and a Sharpie or pencil to draw with. You will also need colored markers, colored pencils, or crayons to finish the project. Please have everything ready ahead of time. **Cameras On!**
